IdeZ (Immunoglobulin G-degrading enzyme of Streptococcus zooepidemicus) is a bacterial protease that specifically cleaves IgG antibodies. In recent years, it has attracted much attention for its unique applications in antibody engineering, gene therapy, and immunological research.
