Based on the core requirements for trypsin performance in protein mass spectrometry analysis, this article systematically elaborates on the common limitations of traditional mass spectrometry-grade trypsin in terms of non-specific cleavage, autolysis, digestion efficiency, and batch-to-batch consistency.
