TAAD2: A novel molecular target in the study of thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection
Thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection (TAAD) is a deadly vascular disease with a rapid onset and extremely poor prognosis. Genetic factors and molecular regulatory disorders are its core pathogenic mechanisms. TAAD2, as a candidate pathogenic factor, is mainly expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. The chromosomal region where its encoding gene is located is closely related to the susceptibility of TAAD families.
